fuckyeahtattoos: My tattoo of the mountains by the Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier National Park in Montana. I worked in the hotel for a summer when I was 19 and spent my days off in these mountains. It was the first time I had ventured out by myself to a new place, the first time I’d really left home, and it was where I first started to understand nature and see myself as a part of it instead of in opposition to it. I got the tattoo mostly because I was 19 and feeling adventurous, but also to remind myself of this time in my life when I made a big leap into the unknown and had been caught by the universe. I wanted to make sure I returned to Montana one day, and I wanted to make sure I remembered to keep leaping into the unknown. I’ve done both.
